This wedding was an on the day coordination wedding. The bride is best friends with my previous employer and she inquired with me to please help her run her wedding on the day. She is also in events, but more sporting events, so she planned her whole wedding and I just executed it all 🙂
February 2018 we started planning this amazing couples wedding. It was mainly over email and Whatsapp as the couple had recently moved to Munich, Germany. The bride is a good friend of mine and she allowed me to create her very special day with a few “musts” that she really wanted, other than that I could use my imagination. They say you are only as good as your suppliers and I honestly believe that, because we had awesome suppliers and that’s why this wedding turned out the way it did… amazing! Have a look and see for yourself.
This gorgeous couple came for a visit at Laurent, Lourensford one Saturday morning. Genna had a list in hand with questions and things that had to be ticked off. For starters, she wanted to know what the venue included, who the caterers were, where the ceremony would be, if the chandeliers were included and more!
The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL), has been protecting and caring for animals since 1956. It is South Africa’s second largest independent Animal Welfare Organization, relying entirely on the generosity and goodwill of the animal-loving public for financial support.
A Stellenbosch based charity that goes into underprivileged schools to help kids get through their schooling years. Some of these kids come from very bad backgrounds, some with alcoholic parents, some from parents who just don’t care.
Ashleigh and Justin are both from South Africa, but they live in Amsterdam where Justin plays professional hockey. I had the pleasure of planning their wedding with Ashleigh’s mom. She knows her daughter very well, which really helped me to make the couple’s vision come to life. It was a true family affair!
Hanneri and Chris were a lovely couple, I got a long with them from the beginning. Most of our chats were via email and sometimes we Skyped, as they were 2 very busy people working at Deloitte in Cape Town, we didn’t have the luxury of meeting whenever.
I met Bronwyn and Garth on a sunny afternoon in November 2016. What a lovely couple! Their love for each other was a joy to witness. They knew exactly what they wanted and what areas were most important to them.
Justine and Flavio came all the way from Johannesburg to say ‘I do’ on the scenic Lourensford Estate in Somerset West. We hit it off from the start. Justine knew exactly what she wanted – from the colour scheme and flowers to the table décor and floor layout.
I met Kelly-Lee at an open day hosted by The Aleit Group at Laurent, Lourensford. At the time I was the venue manager, so I helped to organise the event. When Kelly-Lee arrived with her mom and a friend, my first thought was: WOW. She’s so stylish and friendly! .
Or my friends just call me Meags. At my core I’m wife to my darling husband Frik, sister, aunt to 4 precious kids I adore and daughter to a phenomenal set of parents. I think the most important thing about me you’d like to know is that I’m a server at heart and attention to detail is my jam.
I studied at the Aleit Academy in 2010 and have spent 5.5 years working in the industry since. I’ve had the privilege to learn from the best in the business and have worked alongside some of the most respected and regarded service providers in the industry. The past 5 years have provided me with the backdrop needed to provide an exceptional service to you – I believe I have a solid understanding and relationship with the people you need to make your event/wedding remarkable.
Going the extra mile is what I’m all about, and so is Meagan Oosthuizen Event Styling. I can’t wait to meet you – I hope you are excited to get to know me too 🙂
This is my favourite part of the process. We can either meet face-to-face over a fresh cup of coffee or we can chat on Skype over long distance. We’ll talk about your love story, including the proposal! Then we’ll discuss your dream day from start to finish. A consultation is a great starting point. It gives me a good idea of what you want and look for in a wedding and I can give advice where necessary. Afterwards you’ll receive a budget expense sheet, which will give you a good idea of what your wedding will cost. I believe its better to aim too high and then cut where necessary. If you’re happy with the budget and would like to book my services, a 50% deposit is required. Then we can start planning!
You have every detail in place – from your dream dress to the statement candelabras on your table. But you need a helping hand to pull everything together on the day, so you can relax and get married already! I will take over the reins one month before the wedding to ensure that everything you planned so meticulously goes according to plan.
No idea where to start? No problem! I will take care of every aspect of your special day, so you can enjoy your engagement instead of stressing about floral arrangements and what hors d’oeuvres to serve.
